Hanley Bloom co-founded Architectural Signing, Inc. in 1967 and ASI Sign Systems in 1977. The ASI network was sold in 1988 and continues as the largest architectural signing organization in the U.S. today.
  
 In 1990, in response to upcoming ADA sign requirement, he formed Colorlinx International and developed and patented the Linx Embossing process to make ADA compliant tactile and Braille signs. In 1995 he merged Colorlinx into Neiman and Company and now services as the company’s Vice President of Sales.
  
 Hanley became involved with SEGD early on. He was appointed to the Board of Directors as its first Industry Board Member, He organized the first SEGD Trade Show, (4 exhibitors at Cranbrook House) founded the ASI Student Educational Grant and was honored with the First Angel Award in 1990.
